Accommodations in Cuba

Casa Particular - Baracoa

Baracoa

Get right up close to Cuba when you stay at a Casa Particular, or “casa” – the Cuban answer to bed & breakfast. You stay at the home of a Cuban family who have dedicated part of their house or an additional house to rental. You’ll have your own room, where there is ample opportunity to retire and relax.

The rooms are simply appointed, but always have an en suite bathroom and air conditioning. Cleaning is performed daily, and the house is manned 24 hours a day, just like at a hotel.

You will also experience diversity in the casas you encounter on your tour, as the layout of the houses varies. Some have shared living rooms or a courtyard garden, while others have terraces or a small bar. What all the casas we work with have in common is that they are centrally located and are nice and clean.

This type of accommodation undoubtedly adds an authentic encounter with the Cuban locals and the “real” Cuba, to your tour. The hosts are hospitable and used to having lodgers, and although they might not be that great at English, they will always ensure that you have a pleasant stay. The hosts are also responsible for preparing a nice breakfast in the dining room, so you’re ready for a new day.
