Hotel Majestic enjoys a wonderful location on Zócalo, the city’s central square, in the heart of the historic centre. The large square is lined with beautiful and famous colonial buildings such as the National Palace, Templo Mayor and Mexico’s cathedral.

The hotel is also a historic colonial building with many beautiful details, such as arched ceilings and colourful tiled floors, and a cosy atrium in the middle of the building.

There are 84 rooms spread over 7 floors. It is an old hotel, and the rooms are simply appointed, but all have an en suite bathroom, a TV and a telephone. You can store your valuables in a safe in reception. Wi-Fi is available in the communal areas of the hotel.

The hotel’s restaurant is to be found on the top floor, where you can enjoy your breakfast (included). You have the option to eat inside or out on the roof terrace, which affords a wonderful view of the city and the bustling square.

Look forward to a lovely conclusion to your tour in pleasant Tulum. Here, everything takes place at a calm pace and both locals and tourists use bicycles to get around. Hotels in Tulum are relatively small, and there is a lot of demand for the rooms, so you have to strike early to get one. Tulum is more expensive than Playa del Carmen in terms of cost, but many still choose Tulum due to its wholly unique mood and atmosphere.

Hip Hotel has a fantastic location right on the beach in Tulum, surrounded by palm trees and azure waters. All the buildings are made from natural materials, and the hotel easily blends into the beautiful nature surrounding it.

Piedra Escondida

Tulum

Hotel Piedra Escondida is a small oasis in Tulum, where charm meets nature. Located right on a private beach, shared with only a few other hotels, it is the hotel for those who prefer peace and relaxation.

This intimate retreat offers elegantly detailed rooms with air conditioning, ceiling fan, Wi-Fi and a safe. The hotel has just 9 rooms, all of which have their own terrace. Fall asleep to the sound of the roaring waves, and when you awake, lay out in the hammock while enjoying the sight of the sun quietly appearing on the horizon, painting bright, abstract colours across the sky.

The hotel does not have a pool, but the seductive Caribbean Sea is just metres from your room when you need a refreshing dip. Hammocks, parasols, and sun loungers on the beach can be used by the hotel’s guests, free of charge. Cold drinks and exotic cocktails can be ordered at the small beach bar.

When hunger strikes, enjoy a culinary experience at the hotel’s restaurant, Molcajete, which specialises in Mexican fusion dishes. Molcajete has both an indoor and outdoor dining area offering sea views, and a terrace right down to the beach.

The hotel is centrally located in the historic centre of Mexico City, a mere 5-minute walk from the central square, Zócalo, where the National Palace, Templo Mayor and the large cathedral are situated. Alameda Park and the famous Palacio de Bellas Artes, which create a beautiful setting for Mexico’s cultural life, are a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

The old colonial building has been elegantly and modernly refurbished but retains a touch of the building’s history with its cosy atrium in the middle of the building.
