On this tour, you will get to see and hear about how the internationally recognised carnival in Rio de Janeiro is organised and its origins. You visit the Sambadrome stadium built for the carnival, the port area where Samba has its roots, as well as a tucked-away historical area in the Morro da Conceição district, which is full of artists and studios today.
The highlight of this tour is the visit to Carnival Atelier, where everything for the extraordinary parades is designed and sewn. In the historic area of Pedra do Sal, where Samba started, you can learn about the African-Brazilian culture, slavery and all the elements that form the basis of the modern carnival.
