HomeBike ride in Rio (afternoon)
Bike ride in Rio (afternoon)

On this bike ride, you will get to experience the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon, the botanical garden and sunset over the city from the Arpoador cliff.

Meeting place: The tour starts at Copacabana Palace Hotel (Avenida Atlantica 1702, Copacabana). You will meet up with the rest of your small group here and be kitted out with a bike and helmet.

Following cycle paths, the ride takes you along Copacabana beach down to Ipanema beach and on to Jardim de Alah (Allah’s Garden). This garden is located by the canal that connects the lagoon with the sea and separates the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon.

From here, you cycle on to a popular spot by the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon where there is time to relax, experience the cosy atmosphere and enjoy some refreshment.

You will also experience Rio’s beautiful botanical garden, where we park the bikes and go for a little walk among tall palm trees and exotic plants.

The tour then heads to the lookout point at Leblon Beach, where you get a beautiful view down along the coast with the beautiful mountains in the background.

You cycle back towards Copacabana via the Ipanema and Arpoador beaches, but before the tour ends, you will experience a magical sunset from the Arpoador cliff.
