Trekking tour to Lopes Mendes beach (full-day excursion)

A visit to the island of Ilha Grande is not complete without experiencing the picturesque Lopes Mendes beach. You can only get to the beach on foot or by boat. On this tour, you trek through the scenic, hilly terrain to the beach and sail back.

The excursion sets out from Vila do Abraão. Your guide takes you along small paths past the beaches of Palmas, Mangues and Pouso to Lopes Mendes. You experience the unique nature that the island is so famous for at close quarters.

Along the way, a packed lunch is enjoyed in the scenic surroundings.

The terrain is hilly, and it is a demanding hike to the beach, but we promise that you will be richly rewarded when you clap eyes on Lopes Mendes beach with its fine sand and azure sea. Enjoy a well-deserved dip in the clear waters and relax on the beach.

The boat back to Vila do Abraão departs at various times from Pouso beach (just before Lopes Mendes), so you can decide when you’re ready to head back to your hotel.
