A taste of Costa Rica’s famous coffee (morning)

Costa Rica is world famous for its excellent coffee, and it is said that the coffee beans grown in the province of San José are the country’s most sought after. On this tour, you can learn more about the famous coffee and taste the much-loved drink from one of Costa Rica’s most popular coffee regions.

You will be picked up from the hotel and driven to a coffee plantation just outside San José, where the local guides will tell you all about Costa Rican coffee and provide an interesting insight into the coffee cultivation from sowing the seed of the coffee plant until the plant’s beans are ripe and ready to be picked. You will also learn about the process from the careful hand picking and selection of the coffee beans until they are roasted and made into a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee. Along the way, you can, of course, taste coffee brewed from different beans.

After the guided tour, your lunch (included) is served in the restaurant.

Before returning to your hotel, you can visit the on-site shop and buy some of the delicious coffee beans to take home with you.

Please note: If you purchase this tour, your welcome meeting with our Costa Rican partner will take place at your hotel before the start of the tour (instead of at their office).
