Hotel El Castillo

Baracoa

This hotel has a fascinating history. It was originally a fort, built in 1739 for the purpose of defending the area against the British Navy.

The hotel offers fantastic views across the town, the bay and the famous mountain of El Yunque. El Castillo has a total of 34 rooms, furnished in the colonial style. Each is equipped with air conditioning, minibar, TV, telephone and safe, and all are located next to the attractive pool area. The hotel also has a bar, from which you can enjoy the view over the bay and the Miel River, along with a snack bar and restaurant.


Camino de Hierro

Camagüey

Camino de Hierro is located in the heart of Camagüey. Originally built in the 18th century, the hotel building is, along with the other old buildings, part of the historic city centre, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The hotel has ten spacious rooms, decorated in a classic colonial style with wooden furniture and wrought iron lamps. All have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, a radio, a telephone, a safe, a minibar and a hairdryer.

Some of the rooms do not have a window for reasons of privacy, and street noise should be expected due to the hotel’s very central location.

Enjoy a bite to eat from the hotel restaurant or a mojito from the bar in the peace and quiet of the cosy indoor courtyard. And sit and watch life going by at Plaza de la Solidaridad while enjoying your breakfast, lunch or dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, which has both an indoor and outdoor area.


Gran Hotel

Camagüey

This colonial hotel from 1939 is located in the historic quarter, with its attractive narrow streets and plazas.

The 72 rooms are each equipped with air conditioning, TV, telephone and safe. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a bar and restaurant serving international dishes.


Royalton

Cayo Santa Maria

On the island of Cayo Santa Maria, on one of Cuba’s most beautiful beaches, is the modern, all-inclusive Royalton Resort.

The resort has only 122 rooms, all of which feature air conditioning, TVs, mini-bars, electric kettles for coffee/tea, safes, ceiling fans and big, luxurious bathrooms. All rooms feature either a balcony or a porch, where you can relax and enjoy the warm, tropical breeze.

The hotel offers 3 restaurants with a wide selection of dishes from around the world, in addition to no less than 4 different bars.

Relax at one of the 2 fantastic swimming pools, or on the nearly undisturbed private beach, where chalk-white sand and azure water welcomes you in. If you would like a round of relaxing massage, then you can purchase this in the resort’s spa, The Royal Spa.

Starfish

Cayo Santa Maria

Starfish is a fabulous all-inclusive resort on Cayo Santa Maria. It enjoys a wonderful location on one of the most beautiful beaches in Cuba.

All rooms have air conditioning, a celing fan, cable TV, minibar, safe, ironing facilities and a kettle for making coffee/tea. The rooms either have a terrace or a balcony overlooking the garden or pool. For an additional fee, the room can be upgraded to a sea view.

The resort has 1,368 rooms and offers activities for all the family. It is divided into two departments, each with a large swimming pool. There are four a la carte restaurants and two buffet restaurants as well as five different bars

A wide variety of entertainment and activities for children and adults alike take place every day, which you are welcome to participate in. In the evenings, there are also various shows and a disco.

The hotel has its own day spa, where you can purchase massages and exquisite treatments.

Wi-Fi is available in the hotel lobby and pool area. A Wi-Fi can be purchased in reception for a fee.


Casa Particular - Cienfuegos

Casa particular, or casa, means “private home” in Spanish, and as the name indicates, they are a kind of private accommodation where you stay with a Cuban family at their house, or in an extra house the family owns, where they rent out the rooms.

The rooms have plain interiors, but always include an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. There is a dining area, where breakfast and, if applicable, dinner is served. Cleaning is performed daily, and there are people at the house 24 hours a day, just like at a hotel.

Hotel La Unión

Cienfuegos

Hotel La Unión is located in the centre of Cienfuegos, also known as ‘the Pearl of the South’. Attractions within easy walking distance of the hotel include the central park, José Martí, where you will find the famous Tomás Terry Theatre and the cathedral.

La Unión was built in neoclassical style in 1869, making it one of the oldest and most charismatic hotels in Cienfuegos.

The hotel has 38 spacious rooms, all furnished in classical style and featuring conveniences including a TV, radio, telephone, safe and minibar, as well as a separate bathroom with a hair dryer. In addition, each room has its own balcony.

After a long day packed with wonderful experiences, lie back and relax by the pool or enjoy the view out over the city and the bay from the roof terrace.

Other facilities at the hotel include a bar and restaurant.

 


Hotel Palacio Azul

Cienfuegos

This charming hotel dates back to 1920. It is right next to the Cienfuegos marina with its restaurants and bars.

It is also within easy walking distance of the central square and historical part of the town. The hotel is not large, comprising just seven charming rooms, all fitted with air conditioning, telephone, TV and a balcony.


Hotel Brisas Guardalavaca

Guardalavaca

This 4-star, all-inclusive hotel is located in Guardalavaca, in the province of Holguin. The hotel is surrounded by palm trees and lush, green gardens, right next to the white sandy beach which is reckoned to be one of the finest on Cuba.

Furnished in genuine Cuban style, the hotel comprises 437 rooms, all with air conditioning and WiFi. Other in-room conveniences include a minibar, TV and safe, as well as a separate bathroom with a hair dryer. Step out onto the balcony or terrace and enjoy the delightful evenings to the full.

Hotel Beltran de Santa Cruz

This hotel is housed in an elegant building from the eighteenth century, located in the old part of Havana close to the central square.

The 11 rooms have their own bathroom/toilet, and are equipped with TV, telephone, safe, minibar and air conditioning.

Other facilities at the hotel include a bar and small restaurant, as well as a charming patio which is the perfect place to relax after a day packed with activities.


Memories Jibacoa

Jibacoa

Situated on the beautiful stretch of coast between Havana and Varadero on the north coast of Cuba is Hotel Memories Jibacoa. The hotel is set in the midst of beautiful scenery adjacent to the white sandy beach of Arroyo Bermejo.

The hotel has 250 rooms and is an all-inclusive resort. All rooms have air conditioning, cable TV, minibar, safe, ironing facilities and a kettle for making coffee/tea. The rooms either have a terrace or a balcony. The rooms overlook the lush garden, but can be upgraded to a sea view or a view of the pool for an additional charge.

The resort has a large swimming pool, gym, tennis and volleyball courts, entertainment, 5 bars, 3 a la carte restaurants and 1 buffet restaurant serving local and international dishes for all tastes.

Just metres from the coast is a small reef where you can snorkel and enjoy the colourful underwater world.

For an additional fee, you can make use the hotel’s day spa facilities or water sports such as scuba diving, catamaraning and kayaking.

Iberostar Casa Granda Hotel

Santiago de Cuba

Iberostar Casa Granda Hotel is located on the corner of Parque Cespedes in the heart of Santiago de Cuba. Sights and attractions nearby include the city cathedral, as well as a number of museums and other significant buildings.

Built early in the twentieth century, Casa Granda is one of the most charming colonial hotels in the city.

Hotel Brisas Trinidad del Mar

Trinidad

The hotel is situated close to the beautiful white sandy beach of Playa Ancon, and surrounded by the Escambray mountains. It has 241 comfortable rooms, all with air conditioning, telephone, TV, minibar, hair dryer and a balcony or terrace.

The hotel organises a wide range of entertainment, both during the day and in the evening. Guests are also free to enjoy the hotel fitness room or one of the tennis courts, or simply to relax by the pool or in the jacuzzi or sauna.

Hotel Brisas has a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant and three bars. And if you should find yourself hungry in the middle of the night, the snack bar is open 24/7. Hotel Las Cuevas

Trinidad

Hotel Las Cuevas is located high on a mountain side with a beautiful view out over Trinidad and the Caribbean Sea. All rooms have their own bathroom/toilet, safe, telephone, TV and air conditioning.

Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, souvenir shop, tennis court and a small local tourist information that can help organise a range of excursions. You can exchange currency at the hotel and buy Internet time. It takes around 15–20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the historical part of Trinidad.


Hotel Iberostar Tainos

Varadero

This magnificent 4-star all-inclusive hotel is located on the delightful beach at Varadero. The hotel is built in typical Caribbean style and is ideal for both couples and families with children.

The 272 rooms are surrounded by a tropical garden, swimming pools and facilities for various sports. There are four restaurants, including a famous Asian eatery and a restaurant serving traditional Cuban dishes. There are also four bars, including a pool bar.
