Sightseeing in Viñales

Today you will experience the highlights of the Viñales Valley on a half-day tour. You are picked up at your accommodations and driven to the lookout point at Hotel Jazmines, which is at the edge of the Viñales Valley. From here you have a fantastic panorama view of the valley, which with its iconic limestone cliffs, also known as “mogotes”, looks just like a fairy-tale.

Just outside of Viñales is a gigantic mural, Mural de la prehistoria, which symbolizes the evolution of mankind. It was made by Leovigildo González, a local artist, and the Cuban people take great pride in it.

As you know, Cuba is famous around the world for its fine cigars, and the Viñales region is renowned for having some of the best tobacco plants in the country. You visit a small tobacco plantation and gain an exciting insight into the process of creating these excellent cigars.

The tour concludes with a visit to the limestone cave, Cueva del India, which once was inhabited by indigenous peoples. You will be walking for a bit and taking a boat through this impressive cave.

The tour includes lunch at a traditional Cuban restaurant.
